Keith is responsible for business development, marketing and communication. He joined hetras in 2008 and we think it´s best to let him explain why:
“I’ve been planning to join hetras for 13 years. Of course hetras wasn’t around 13 years ago, but it was clear that something like hetras was going to come along. And if it didn’t, I would have had to create it myself. As founder, main developer and visionary behind the old market leader Fidelio (now Micros-Fidelio), I spent over eight years living and dreaming hotel technology. It was the best time of my life, working with fantastic developers, real hotel professionals, and dedicated and determined people all around. After selling Fidelio in 1996, I was quite sure I would return to this industry one day.
The hotel business stands for hospitality, good service, and simply treating people right. This philosophy spreads to the extended industry – even to the technology vendors. And that’s why it’s great to be back in this business. For over a decade, I started up technology companies in other industries, managed two venture capital funds, and learned a lot of about many different industries. And yet after all that, I realized that I feel most at home in hotel technology.
For me hetras is not just a job. And it is more than a quest to create the next Fidelio. My dream is – once again – to redefine and revolutionize the world of hotel technology – and currently we are on a good track to achieve exactly that.”
