Munich, Germany and Orlando, Florida (12 December, 2011) hetras, the developer of cloud-based hotel management software, and EZYield, the global provider of smart solutions that streamline hotel distribution, announced today the certified integration of their hotel connectivity solutions. The new seamless interface between the hetras hotel management system and EZYield’s Fuzionlink channel management as well as Fuzionsync integrated reservation delivery solutions provides a high-performance reservation processing platform that enables hetras’ clients to grow revenue and increase efficiencies.
The PMS integration provides two levels of improvement for hetras users. First, the interface between hetras and EZYield’s Fuzionlink channel management allows hotels to automatically send availability and rates to over 650 online travel agencies (OTAs) through a single easy-to-use interface. And second, hetras users receive reservations from their OTA partners directly into their CRS/PMS. The streamlined process saves time, reduces costs, and builds guest loyalty by ensuring that reservations are accurate and timely.
The interface is live in three properties at citizenM, a European chain of boutique luxury hotels. Lennert de Jong, Director of Distribution and Business Development, said, “Now with the connection between hetras and EZYield in place, it feels as if we have gained four extra hours in our work day. We don’t have to manually re-key OTA reservations and changes any more. We have eliminated potential data entry errors, plus we have a real-time view of occupancy reflected in the PMS—around the clock. And because we don’t manually update rates and availability across each of our multiple OTA partners, we can respond quicker to market changes.” citizenM uses that extra time from reservation automation on revenue-generating initiatives. As both hetras and EZYield solutions are cloud based, no site visit was required to implement the PMS integration. The citizenM project highlights how vital web-based, cloud computing platforms are for forward-thinking hotel businesses in today’s globalised business environment. The project involved developers in Germany and Ukraine, project managers in Austria and Spain, and trainers in the US working in concert to finalize, certify and roll-out the integration. Cloud infrastructure enables a global and virtual “fast-to-market” development environment.
